Aakash Tablet - The newly built cheap tablet in India and the price starting from just 30$. The first version which was named as the "Aakash" tablet was released in 5th October 2011 and the NEW version which named as "Ubislate7" will launched soon in Jan 2012. the Cool features that the first version has that,
  • A micro-processor which is Arm11 – 366MHz
  • Battery with 2100 mAh (Which will only work for 3hours)
  • Android 2.2 Froyo
  • Priced at  Rupees. (Indian) 2999

This product is developed and marketed by DataWind and IIT, Rajasthan marked an impressive results within student communities in India. Because students are allowed to buy it for just Rupees. (Indian)1100. This tiny 7-inched device overall sized as 190.5 x 118.5 x 15.7mm and weighs 350g.

Now the surprise is the latest version "Ubislate7". This can be identified as the 2nd Aakash native tablet which comes with very strong specs than the earlier release.This uses a Cortex A8 processor with 700 MHz of clock speed. This is spectacular because for 30$ is damn cheap. iPad still uses 1GHz processor and 8 times larger in price makes a sense toward this device. Battery life has been increased with 3200 mAh. So this will survive up to 5 hours. Android 2.3 Gingerbread is all fine for a tablet. The important fact about the tablet "Ubislate7" is you can insert Sim and use just like a phone. The "Aakash" only supports Wi-Fi and the latest version will support GPRS including Wi-Fi as well.  "Ubislate7" can be ordered online HERE.
